Project Officer on Youth Food System Recruitment (OPEN)

About the Recruitment

The RISE Foundation advocates for the rights of young people by providing holistic access to health information and support for capacity development in various development issues. Additionally, we aim to cultivate an environment that promotes inclusive and meaningful engagement of youth, while also fostering equitable relationships between young individuals and adults.

RISE Foundation is supported by the Yayasan Humanis and Inovasi Sosial in implementing the Urban Futures program, which focuses on enhancing the meaningful involvement of young people in the climate-resilient urban food system through the approach of the Right to Food and Nutrition (Hak Atas Pangan dan Gizi or HAPG) in the city of Bandung and West Manggarai. Urban food systems, meaningful and inclusive youth engagement, and climate change action are all incorporated into the Urban Futures initiative. The program places a strong emphasis on developing creative urban food policies, designing inclusive cities that can withstand climate change, and assisting the upcoming generation of sustainable food industry entrepreneurs.

To support the implementation process, the RISE Foundation is currently offering a job opportunity for the position of Project Officer on Youth Food System with the following responsibilities and qualifications:

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to develop and execute detailed work plans and allocate project budgets in accordance with agreed terms and administrative guidelines.
  2. Maintain consistent and structured coordination with the donor to ensure compliance with project implementation requirements.
  3. Regularly engage with consortium members to ensure project execution aligns with the agreed timeline and administrative standards.
  4. Work alongside the Project Manager and Finance Officer to provide administrative support and strategic guidance to consortium members.
  5. Prepare and compile detailed accountability reports for each completed task or project, ensuring accuracy and adherence to documentation standards.
  6. Work together with the Project Manager in preparing and submitting regular project reports in accordance with the agreed timeline and reporting framework.
  7. Ensure that the principles of Meaningful and Inclusive Youth Participation are effectively integrated into collaborative interventions within the project’s geographical scope.
  8. Facilitate youth engagement in the nationwide movement for a sustainable and climate-resilient food system through RISE Foundation’s platforms.
  9. Compile and submit comprehensive monthly reports that document project status, key developments, and administrative progress.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum one year of experience in projects implementations related to food systems, the Right to Food and Nutrition (RTFN), or related fields.
  2. Minimum one year experience in Non-Governmental Organization and Project Management
  3. Possessing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Agriculture, Agribusiness, Nutrition, or other social specializations.
  4. Consider for placement in Bandung.
  5. Having the capabilities to coordinate with the donor and members of consortia to ensure the effective implementation of projects.
  6. Proficient in documenting projects and systematically collecting essential data for project reports, both from the organization and its partners. Capable of preparing regular accountability and project reports, ensuring proper administrative documentation, and analyzing relevant data and information to support project success.
  7. Having an in-depth comprehension of the principles of the food system, meaningful engagement, inclusivity and activism among young people.
  8. Proficient in enabling meetings, workshops, or various events designed to involve youth in advocating for inclusive and climate-resilient food systems.
  9. Having adept and articulate communication abilities in both Bahasa Indonesia and English languages.
