About the Recruitment

RISE Foundation advocates for the rights of young people by providing holistic access to health information and supporting capacity strengthening across various development issues. Additionally, we aim to cultivate an environment that promotes inclusive and meaningful youth participation while fostering equitable relationships between young people and adults.


RISE Foundation is implementing RUMPUN HIJAU (Ruang Masyarakat dan Perempuan Hidupkan Inisiatif Hijau) project, which focuses on strengthening inclusive civil society engagement in the Just Energy Transition (JET) in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatera, Indonesia. The program aims to expand public understanding of the energy transition while encouraging meaningful community participation in advocacy and policymaking processes related to the transition.


The program focuses on bridging knowledge gaps, promoting community-based engagement, and creating more inclusive advocacy spaces for diverse groups. It also integrates a collective care approach to support the emotional resilience, solidarity, and sustainability of civil society movements advocating for a just energy transition.


To support the implementation of this program, the RISE Foundation is currently offering a job opportunity for the position of Field Officer with the following responsibilities and qualifications:

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to develop detailed work plans and support project budget tracking in accordance with agreed terms and administrative guidelines.
  2. Coordinate and maintain regular communication with community partners, beneficiaries, and
    relevant stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of program activities at the field level.
  3. Support the organization and facilitation of meetings, workshops, training sessions, and
    community engagement activities related to the Just Energy Transition (JET).
  4. Monitor the progress of field activities and identify potential challenges or opportunities to
    improve program implementation.
  5. Work alongside the Project Manager and Finance Admin to provide administrative and
    operational support for program implementation.
  6. Document project activities and compile accountability records for completed tasks, ensuring
    accuracy and adherence to documentation standards.
  7. Assist the Project Manager in preparing and submitting regular project reports in accordance
    with the agreed timeline and reporting framework.
  8. Ensure that program activities promote inclusive participation, particularly among youth and
    other underrepresented groups, while integrating collective care approaches to foster well-being,
    solidarity, and sustainable community engagement.
  9. Facilitate youth engagement through the Girls4Change platform to promote
    gender-transformative approaches and strengthen the participation of young women and girls in
    advocacy and community initiatives within the program.
  10. Compile and submit comprehensive monthly reports documenting project progress, key
    developments, and administrative updates.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum two years of experience in project implementations related to climate change, energy transition, community development, gender equality, or other relevant social development fields.
  2. Minimum two years experience in Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) and Project
    Management.
  3. Possessing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Studies, Social
    Sciences, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Public Policy, or other related disciplines.
  4. Willing to be based in Muara Enim, South Sumatra, with regular field engagement. Preference
    will be given to candidates from Muara Enim or surrounding areas.
  5. Having the capabilities to coordinate with community partners, civil society organizations, and
    other relevant stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation.
  6. Proficient in project documentation, data collection, and report writing, including preparing
    regular progress and accountability reports in accordance with administrative requirements.

  8. Having an in-depth comprehension of inclusive participation, youth engagement,
    gender-transformative approaches, and community-based advocacy.
  9. Proficient in enabling meetings, workshops, or community engagement activities, particularly
    related to climate justice, energy transition, or social advocacy initiatives.
  10. Having adept and articulate communication abilities in both Bahasa Indonesia and English
    languages.
