About the Recruitment

RISE Foundation, through the Urban Futures program in West Manggarai and Bandung, will launch the Youth Idea Competition to empower young people in creating innovative solutions for sustainable and inclusive food systems. To support this initiative, RISE is seeking a Technical Consultant to develop the technical framework, provide technical assistance to the committee and participants on administrative matters.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare a comprehensive implementation plan for the Youth Ideas Competition, covering mechanism design, timeline, success indicators, and resource requirements.
2. Support the committee and participants through mentoring, technical guidance (coaching/mentoring), and facilitation of access to information relevant to the competition theme.
3. Assist the implementation team in executing competition activities, including coordination with multiple stakeholders, facilitation of events, and monitoring of the implementation process.
4. Compile, organize, and maintain relevant data related to the competition, including participant information, activities, outputs, and supporting documentation, to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and completeness for monitoring, evaluation, and reporting purposes.
5. Produce a final report with technical recommendations based on M&E findings, including sustainability guidelines and lessons learned for future competition implementation.

Deliverables

1. Technical Implementation Plan – covering mechanisms, timeline, indicators, and resources.
2. Technical Assistance Records – documentation of mentoring, coaching, and support sessions.
3. Competition Implementation Report – summary of activities, coordination, and monitoring.
4. Field Data Inventory – organized data to support M&E and reporting.
5. Final Report & Technical Recommendations

Qualifications

1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Community Development, Communication Studies, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or other relevant fields.
2. Experience providing technical assistance in the administration and implementation of youth-based participation programs or competitions.
3. Strong understanding of food systems, urban development, and youth empowerment.
4. Experience working with a cross-sector approach (government, private sector, CSOs).
5. Able to systematically compile strategic and technical documents.
6. Preference will be given to those with a portfolio of similar work (competitions, challenges, hackathons, etc.).

Consultancy period

The Consultant will work over a period of three (3) months, from September to November 2025
