RISE Foundation focuses on developing the potential of Indonesia’s youth through three main issues: Climate Resilience and Sustainability (CRS), Education and Technology (Edutech), and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI). Based on the belief that the younger generation is a crucial asset for positive change, RISE continuously strives to enhance their participation, advocacy, and capacities, as well as foster equal partnerships between adults and youth in various aspects of life. To strengthen its GESI division, RISE Foundation is opening a vacancy for the position of CSE/Comprehensive Sexuality Education Manager , with the following details on responsibilities and qualifications:
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of CSE/Comprehensive Sexuality Education program under Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) division.
- Lead the design, planning, and implementation of CSE-related interventions in line with project goals.
- Develop detailed work plans, timelines, and resource needs for CSE activities.
- Ensure integration of CSE and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) into broader education, health, or youth development programs.
- Organize and facilitate training sessions for teachers, youth facilitators and other stakeholders on CSE content and delivery methods.
- Develop CSE training materials and curricula appropriate to local context.
- Collaborate with national and local authorities, and community leaders to gain buy-in and ensure sustainability.
- Strengthen strategic partnerships with youth-led communities and organizations engaged in Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) initiatives across Indonesia, including building digital youth activism platforms.
- Collaborate with other unit/project to ensure youth empowerment and involvement strategy is in line with other units’ and the organization strategy and program design.
- Ensure that all CSE materials and activities align with human rights principles, gender equality, and age-appropriate frameworks.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding standards, especially in work involving adolescents and young people.
- Ensure cost-effective use of project resources while maintaining program quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Sociology, Law, or a related field with more than 3 years of working experience in a relevant field.
- At least 3 years of experience in leading projects related to gender issues, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Right program, and Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE)
- Experience in conducting training sessions for youth or community groups.
- Proven experience in managing team
- Experience working in a non-profit organization
- Demonstrated experience in working with Youth Communities or organizations
- Have a good knowledge of Gender, Equity, and Social Inclusion issues.
- Fluent in Indonesian and English (speaking and writing)
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to travel when needed
- Good communication skills, interpersonal savvy, and ability to work in a team
- Understanding of basic project management principles
- Ability to multi-task and ability to determine priority scales
- Attention to detail, critical thinking and collaborative problem-solving skills
- Reside in Yogyakarta
