About the Recruitment

The RISE Foundation advocates for the rights of young people by providing holistic access to health information and support for capacity strengthening in various development issues. Additionally, we aim to cultivate an environment that promotes inclusive and meaningful participation of youth, while also fostering equitable relationships between young people and adults.

RISE Foundation is supported by Yayasan Humanis and Inovasi Sosial (Humanis) in implementing the Urban Futures program, which focuses on enhancing the involvement of young people in the climate-resilient urban food system based on Right to Food and Nutrition in Bandung city and West Manggarai Regency. The program strongly emphasizes developing creative urban food policies, designing inclusive cities that can withstand climate change, and assisting young people to develop sustainable local food industry strategies.

In term of implementation process, the RISE Foundation is currently offering a job opportunity for the position of Youth Engagement Specialist with the following responsibilities and qualifications:

Responsibilities

1. Develop a grand design for youth engagement strategies in the Urban Future project under KOPAJA consortium.
2. Coordinate and communicate regularly with youth communities/organizations.
3. Provide technical assistance to partner organizations regarding meaningful youth engagement.
4. Organizing activities in collaboration with youth communities to contribute to the digital youth activism.
5. Coordinate with project staff to ensure all implementing partner organizations elaborate the principle of meaningful youth participation in project implementation
6. Provide regularly progress report related to youth involvement strategies

Qualifications

1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Sociology, Anthropology, Communication Science, or other Social Sciences.
2. Have a good understanding of gender issues, adolescent health, Meaningful Inclusive Youth Participation, and other related youth issues.
3. Experienced in community-based youth empowerment
4. Experienced in providing training for young people, especially on issues of food system and nutrition
5. Able to develop guidelines on youth engagement strategies at the project implementation level
6. Experienced in providing technical assistance to implementing partner organizations
