Temu Dialog Cerita Baik RAN PIJAR Kota Bogor

RAN PIJAR kota bogor

Multi-sector collaboration is the key to the success of the National Action Plan for Improving the Welfare of School-Age Children and Adolescents (RAN PIJAR) programme in Bogor City. RISE Foundation contributes significantly in strengthening youth participation, promoting health education, and ensuring the programme is sustainable. Through an inclusive approach and technical support, RISE Foundation helps realise an environment that supports the holistic growth and development of adolescents.

As one of the partner organisations, RISE Foundation has been actively involved from the preparation phase to the implementation of RAN PIJAR. Collaborating with Kemenko PMK, Bogor City Government, and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Indonesia, RISE Foundation plays a role in designing meaningful youth engagement mechanisms. One of the main initiatives is strengthening the capacity of Health Heroes Facilitators (HHF), a selected group of teenagers who spearhead health education in the community.

RISE Foundation provided technical assistance to 20 HHFs from 16 communities and youth organisations in Bogor. They were trained to become agents of change who are able to deliver nutrition, mental health, and stunting prevention materials creatively. As a result, HHFs successfully visited 9 schools and 1 organisation, reaching 386 teenagers directly. In addition, RISE Foundation supported HHF’s digital campaign that spread messages about the importance of youth-friendly health access, successfully reaching 4,000 young people through social media platforms.

At the RAN PIJAR Good Stories Dialogue Meeting on 26 February 2025, RISE Foundation and HHF were again involved as implementers of the activity. In the presentation session, Artin Wuriyani, Executive Director of RISE Foundation, delivered an in-depth analysis of the programme’s impact, including challenges and opportunities for future development.

HHF played a role in facilitating the interactive discussion session and guiding the good story discussion session from representatives of HHF, youth, schools, and local government. From the good story discussion session, it can be concluded that HHF’s involvement, fully supported by RISE Foundation, has increased the awareness of Bogor adolescents on stunting, balanced nutrition, and mental health issues. This good story is a shared success between the implementing partners of the RAN PIJAR programme in Bogor City, so it is hoped that the success of this programme can be continued.

RISE Foundation’s support for RAN PIJAR Kota Bogor is not just a programme, but a long-term investment to build a critical, healthy and empowered young generation. Collaboration with the government and other partner institutions proves that a community-based approach and active participation of youth are key to creating sustainable change. Through RAN PIJAR, RISE Foundation continues to strengthen its position as a strategic partner in the development of Indonesian youth. The steps taken by RAN PIJAR implementing partners in Bogor City are an inspiration for other regions to adopt a similar collaboration model, for a brighter future for the young generation.

Kick Off the 2nd Year of KOPAJA

On the first day of the activity, the agenda began with remarks from RISE Foundation representatives and the reading and signing of the cooperation contract. The main session discussed reflections on the implementation of the Urban Futures 2024 programme, with discussions on obstacles, lessons learned, and improvements that need to be made in 2025. One of the major changes is the adjustment of the cooperation model with CAI organisations, where in the future, KOPAJA will no longer refer to one particular organisation in involving inclusivity. This change aims to open up wider collaboration opportunities with various other inclusion organisations.

This commitment is realised through the Youth Nutritative (Nutrition Innovative) batch II initiative. Youth Nutritiative II is a continuation of the previous Youth Nutritiative programme which focused on issues such as healthier food choices, food labelling, food categorisation, and accessibility.

The programme is implemented from August to December 2024 by involving youth organisations from various backgrounds and issue focuses to collaborate in creating an ecosystem that supports the right to nutrition information, and access to healthy and sustainable food.
