Bogor, October 2024 – The Bogor City Government demonstrates a strong commitment to improving youth welfare through a strategic partnership with the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK – Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan), RISE Foundation, and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Indonesia in implementing the National Action Plan for the Welfare of School-Age Children and Adolescents (RAN PIJAR – Rencana Aksi Nasional Peningkatan Kesejahteraan Anak Usia Sekolah dan Remaja).

Celebrating World Food Day: Learning Permaculture & Digital Content Management

On October 16, 2024, the RISE Foundation Communications Team celebrated World Food Day by participating in an exciting training session. We learned a lot about permaculture and digital content management with professionals. So, what exactly did we uncover? Curious? Let’s explore what we did and the interesting things we took away! The Communication Team’s Capacity Development activity, organized by RISE Foundation, was filled with enthusiasm and energy. The activity was held to celebrate World Food Day, with two exciting workshop sessions: one on permaculture, local food, and the climate crisis, and another on content management capacity building with professionals.

Sustainable Business and Smart Eating for Teenagers (IYD 2024)

RISE Foundation, in collaboration with Hotel Royal Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta, held an Interactive Talk Show on Saturday, September 7, 2024, as part of the commemoration of International Youth Day 2024. This event carries the theme “Exploring Local Food Potential: Sustainable Business and Smart Eating for Teenagers,” which aims to inspire teenagers to be more actively involved in promoting local food and implementing healthy eating patterns.

Rise Foundation Introduces the Issue of the Right to Food and Nutrition to 30 Youth in West Manggarai

In an effort to promote awareness and inspire real action, Rise Foundation, in collaboration with Urban Futures (UF), introduced the issue of the Right to Food and Nutrition (HAPG) to thirty young members of the West Manggarai Young People’s Learning Circle. The transition of jobs from agriculture and fishing to the tourism sector threatens the stability of the food supply. Inadequate infrastructure, including damaged roads that obstruct the distribution of food supplies, is compounding the problem. Moreover, the excessive use of chemical fertilizers and other unsustainable agricultural practices pose a significant threat to environmental sustainability.

The Basic Training for Health Heroes Facilitators (HHF)

The Basic Training for Health Heroes Facilitators (HHF) and the RAN PIJAR Work Plan Preparation activities were successfully conducted on July 30-31 and August 1, 2024. This basic training equips the facilitators of RAN PIJAR Health Heroes in Bogor City with the essential knowledge and skills needed to successfully implement the program. Additionally, a work plan is developed to ensure that the planned strategies and actions are effectively implemented with the active involvement of young people, who are the primary focus of this program.

Girls4Change Goes to School: Unleash Your Action, Surprise Everyone!

Yogyakarta, July 2024 – RISE Foundation and Let’s Read Indonesia (The Asia Foundation) proudly unite once more for the second phase of Girls4Change, emphasizing school-based interventions. The intervention should encompass not only young girls but also other individuals within their surrounding environment, including young boys.
