Health Heroes Facilitators – Program HER Way (CLOSED)

About the Recruitment

The RISE Foundation, in collaboration with Project HOPE and through the HER Way / SEKAR program, is opening an opportunity for youth in Tangerang City and Bandung Regency to join as Health Heroes Facilitators (HHF). This program is designed to empower young people as peer facilitators who are capable of providing education, mentorship, and tangible actions related to reproductive health, menstrual hygiene management (MHM), and mental health. The facilitators will become a vital part of a movement to create a generation of young women who are healthy, knowledgeable, and resilient.

Registration Period: 17–23 November 2025

Role Overview

As a Health Heroes Facilitator (HHF), participants will be involved in a series of training sessions, mentoring, and the implementation of tangible actions within their communities. Facilitators will act as agents of change who are capable of driving an increase in awareness and healthy behaviors among adolescent girls and young mothers.

This position is a voluntary program with full support provided by the HER Way.

Responsibilities

The Health Heroes Facilitator (HHF) responsibilities include:

  • Attending the entire series of training sessions and mentoring sessions (both online and offline).
  • Educating peers regarding reproductive and sexual health, menstrual hygiene management (MHM), and mental health.
  • Designing and implementing tangible actions (both in-person and digital) according to community needs.
  • Serving as a role model and a driver of positive, inclusive, and youth-friendly change.
  • Coordinating with the program team, other facilitators, and community partners in the execution of activities.
  • Compiling brief activity reports for program documentation and monitoring.

Program Duration

Health Heroes Facilitator spans four (4) months, covering the following stages:

  • Online and in-person training.
  • Periodic mentoring sessions.
  • Implementation of tangible actions (Aksi Nyata).
  • Final evaluation and reflection.

Who Can Apply

This program is open to young people who meet the following criteria:

  • Range 15 and 25 years old.
  • Actively involved in Tangerang City or Bandung Regency.
  • Actively as a student (school/university) or active in a local community/organization.
  • Have an interest in reproductive health, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and mental health issues.
  • Be motivated to become a peer facilitator and agent of change.
  • Possess high ethics, integrity, and a sense of responsibility.

Requirements

To register, participants must:

  • Complete the registration form (Google Form).
  • Attach the most recent Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • Include a digital content portfolio (optional, if available).

Selection Process

The selection process will go through the following stages:

  • Interview / Focus Group Discussion (FGD)
  • First Gathering
  • Online Training
  • Mentoring Sessions
  • Implementation of Tangible Actions (Aksi Nyata)

Selected participants will receive further information via email and WhatsApp from the HER Way team.

The registration period is only from November 17–23, 2025.

About the Program

HER Way (Healthy, Educated, and Resilient Wellbeing for Every Adolescent Girl and Young Woman) or SEKAR is a collaborative program between the RISE Foundation and Project HOPE, with support from the Kimberly-Clark Corporation. The program aims to create an environment that supports the growth of adolescent girls who are physically, emotionally, and socially healthy.
