RISE Foundation’s Role Supporting Sustainability of SIGAP Program in Pandeglang

RISE Foundation serves as an implementing partner of the SIGAP Program (Siapkan Generasi Anak Berprestasi / Preparing a Generation of Outstanding Children), a strategic initiative in early childhood development and education. Through this program, RISE is committed to strengthening community and local institutional capacity to support children’s holistic growth and development.

The 2025–2027 phase of the SIGAP Program is designed to ensure that every child in the intervention areas grows and develops optimally according to their age and is prepared for formal schooling. SIGAP adopts a holistic approach that focuses on three main areas: reducing stunting, improving the quality of early childhood care and parenting, and expanding access to quality early childhood education services.

As the implementing partner in Pandeglang District, Banten Province, RISE Foundation plays a key role in ensuring the effective implementation of the program at the community level. This includes intensive coordination with various stakeholders, from village governments, Posyandu (Integrated Health Posts), and PAUD institutions (Early Childhood Education Centers) to the District Offices of Education and Health. This collaborative approach aims to create an empowering ecosystem that supports children’s development in nutrition, stimulation, and learning environments.

In addition to program implementation, RISE Foundation focuses on capacity building for caregivers and early childhood educators. Through targeted trainings and workshops, educators are equipped with child development science–based caregiving methods and skills to design engaging, age-appropriate learning activities. The Foundation also promotes a participatory monitoring mechanism, involving parents and local communities in assessing children’s progress and evaluating the effectiveness of program interventions.

RISE Foundation’s engagement in the SIGAP Program goes beyond technical implementation. The organization also conducts policy advocacy with local governments to ensure the program’s sustainability beyond the intervention period. Through policy dialogues at both village and district levels, RISE encourages budget commitments and the development of child-centered policies that prioritize early childhood development and family well-being.

Every step taken to support children’s growth and learning represents an essential investment in Indonesia’s future. Guided by a spirit of collaboration and sustainability, RISE Foundation remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring that every child, without exception, has equal opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive.
